A meditation on the life of Mother Ann Seton who lived from 8/28/1774 in New York City, New York and died in Emmitsburg, Maryland in 1/4/1821. Elizabeth Ann Seton was received into the Catholic Church on March 14, 1805, by Father Matthew O'Brien, pastor of St. Peters's Church, then New York City's only Catholic Church. She went on to found a school for girls, orphanage and founded the Daughters of Charity of St . Joseph, which lead to her being named the foundress of the parochial school system.
